In no particular order, we have had some great weather while here at Rudder Cut Cay. We have been able to get out our Christmas toys and deploy both a hammock (thanks to Jen and Janek) and a paddle board (thanks to Santa). It was so relaxing to lay back in the hammock and declare READ MORE

Another destination
With the gorgeous weather and clean laundry, what’s a girl to do? Move on! And that we did! We have over 700 islands to explore and so little time. With the Covid debacle and weather hold ups, we only signed up for three months here in the Bahamas so our cruising permit will expire mid READ MORE
Onward to Blackpoint
The wind has been mighty fierce these couple of days and as usual we have a fear of getting stuck in Bimini for longer than we wanted. We await our Chris Parker (our weather guru) email to see what the coming days will be like. There is chatter all about the marina of folks leaving READ MORE
A Walk About
Being on South Bimini, we cannot get to the North Island without the use of the ferry or on a calmer sea state you could take your own dinghy. We elected in the 20 knot winds to take the $3 (one way) ferry. It was a small walk to the ferry dock. We passed a READ MORE
Weather and MRSIMCARD
It was a gloomy day and one we that were extremely happy to be tied up at a dock. The clouds came in and the sky got dark quickly. The winds began to pick up as the boys and I headed out for a walk. I had chatted with my brother earlier who (with wife READ MORE
We Made It
We hoisted the anchor aboard at 0700 hours and were well on our way to Bimini. There were a host of boats converging all about the same time out of Miami or No Name Harbor. Catamarans, monohulls, and yes motor vessels such as Paradigm Shift. There were a couple of Kady Krogens that we entered READ MORE
Threading the Needle
Up bright and early to enjoy that morning cup of coffee before getting underway. Little did we know that we would have a farewell from Ed and Mari-Etta as we pulled away from the dock. What lovely folks! As Mari-Etta told me yesterday and I shared with a friend……you are allowed to be negative when READ MORE
A New Day is Dawning
Much like a child at Christmas, everyone was up out of the bed at 5:30 this morning. The high tide of 6:19 a.m. will help our exit out of the channel. We were able to have a pizza party with Ed and Mari-Etta and bid our farewell. They have been busy with house and boat READ MORE
Oh Yeah!
We are on our way! Well we will leave Tavernier tomorrow morning and then cross to Bimini on Saturday. After another grueling wait outside the “walk in” clinic and then the swab test of the sinus cavity, we are cleared to go. Once we had our results all we needed to do was upload them READ MORE
De’ja Vu
We have honored the quarantine and are about ready to break loose but once again we are at the mercy of the testing sites. Unfortunately (I am not sure I have mentioned this before) there are no home test kits to be found anywhere in the area. Heck even Amazon says it will not have READ MORE
