One Last Anchorage

We are almost home? Hard to believe we left the middle of November and we are just getting into the Chesapeake Bay this morning. So thankful to have had one last night on anchor before heading to Urbanna. We left Camden Point/Broad Creek yesterday morning at 0700 and got into Hampton/Fort Monroe at about 1830 hours. It was a long day with the bridges/locks and picking up a little more fuel at Atlantic Yacht Basin, but the reward was great. After a brief shower we had the gift of the rainbow and in our anchorage was Bright Ayes and another Caliber 47, Eclipse.

Crossroads and Paradigm Shift would chat and agree to depart about 0800 this morning and oh wow what a shock. We woke to pea soup and would wait an additional 30 minutes to see if it would clear better. With not much movement, we elected to “up anchor” at 0830 and take our time will waiting for the fog to lift.

Onward home! Urbanna here we come.
