We have been waiting all this time for the days ahead when Thom and Lynn Clinefelter would meet us in George Town for a week of fun in the sun. Prior to their arrival however we were fortunate enough to catch up with another Selene 53…..Salty Mare. Todd and Susie were gracious enough to host appetizers on their boat and give us a quick tour. We love notices the little differences each Selene has and make note of things we may want to change on Paradigm Shift. Honestly the only thing I want to change is where I stow certain things…..that is just a matter of figuring out the best place now that we have been on the boat a while to help facilitate that. They came over that same evening to our boat and had dinner with our tour of Paradigm Shift. A great night with new friends. I think I also mentioned that we made friends with Steve and Susie on Talk Time, a 70 foot Marlow. They are friends with the prior owners of Paradigm Shift. We look forward to catching up with them again here in the near future.
Our focus now changes to the arrival of our friends of old from Philadelphia that are arriving on the 30th of the month to spend a week with us in the Exumas. Thom and Lynn arrived in the worst of conditions with the chop in the water such that they were soaking wet when they reached the boat. Unfortunately Lynn was not feeling well but with the way the seas were, we were not going anywhere anytime soon. When we did leave George Town we headed to Lee Stocking Island/Williams Cay area.
We explored the waters, went to see the iguanas, and we even went to see if we could catch a glimpse of my favorite country couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. They own a lovely home on a private island and while we did not get to see any celebrities, we could fantasize about living in such a home. It is a beautiful piece of property. We got some hikes in and enjoyed the beaches at the other end of them.
We would make our way back to George Town and watch Greg and Lynn play in the water. Actually they were scrubbing our water line and checking out things. Lynn loves her water time.
We would spend the next day just enjoying Stocking Island and the beach bar at Peace and Plenty as well as Chat and Chill. Every where in town though seemed to be out of frozen drink concoctions so it was beer, water or some cocktail on the rocks. Oh well we will make due. We have the view going for us!
We were fortunate to grab a photo of the six of us (yes Cooper and Jaxon too) at Chat and Chill before departing.
