We sat and waited at Williams Cay for a while before heading to George Town for restocking the refrigerator. We entered the harbor and found Barry and Robin on Crossroads and dropped our hook up at Sand Dollar Beach. Provisioning and getting out of George Town were the goals of this trip as staying in George Town during the cruisers regatta can be crazy with all the boats and dinghies in the harbor. Asante pulled into the anchorage at Sand Dollar as well (another 53 Selene) and it did not take long for us all to decide on a little parade of Selene’s leaving the harbor for Thompson Bay on Long Cay. Asante got the lead position and was about an hour ahead of us so we took an opportunity for a stop at a favored eatery…..Santanas. Crossroads and Paradigm Shift had a rare photo op as they stopped for cracked lobster, shrimp and grouper.

We were able to enjoy brunch on Asante and an appy hour together before we all split and went our separate ways. Robin and I grabbed one last picture before she and Barry would head off to Conception Island. Greg and I were excited to see them get to another “new” destination. Greg would snorkel the perimeter of the boat examining the bottom (checking of course to see that we still have two stabilizers) and then plan our escape to Thompson Bay.

Asante and Crossroads would go on their way while Greg, Jaxon, Cooper and I would explore the quiet ocean side of Calabash and the mangrove dinghy run. This was probably a highlight for me as the beaches were just lovely and the boys could run and play in the surf of the ocean.

Fast forward to George Town on the 24th where we would head to pick up our long awaited visitors…..Janek and Jen! We are super excited as these two have visited several years now and this year our forecast for the week was going to be picture perfect……okay maybe too much sun but other than that, it would be great!
To sum up our week, we visited the caves at Musha Cay, the Iguanas at Leaf Cay, snorkeling all along the way, hiking Williams Cay, Lee Stocking Island, and Stocking Island. Jen and Janek had a great time playing in the water as well as on land. It was a highlight to our trip and again we are grateful for the weather cooperation this year.

We entered George Town Harbor amidst the regatta race which was fun to watch as the sails were colorful and the competition great!

We had a couple of opportunities to enjoy a libation on shore and catch a few selfies. And finally….Cooper has joined Jaxon with his new haircut. Difficult to tell them apart but as Robin reminded me…..Jaxons ears are like an airplane….out to the side and they go back…Coopers ears are like an airplane and fall forward. Thank you for that!

On to the Raggeds after a quick goodbye to Crossroads and some provisioning!
