Okay if any of my 30 plus year colleagues at Arc3 Gases are reading this, they will get a laugh from that title. Our industrial gas plant had a message on their answering machine that said they were “busy in the plant”. I always used to get a tickle from it and I still do today whenever I hear someone say they are busy. It always take me back to that place and the thoughts that would run through my head as they still do today. Busy doing what? Eating lunch? Gabbing with co workers? But I must admit that I got to see the plant first hand and know that there is a ton of work happening with pressuring tanks, filling them, painting and much, much more. Which leads me to have to rethink the title of this post as I was going to talk about how ”busy” we are! Now that I look back and recant the memories of guys rolling cylinders into a fill room and hooking them up to a bank of fill lines, that kind of “busy” is hard work. So our ”busy” is all play with the exception of changing oil and filters on both engines, changing the impellers in both engines as well as the generator or a ton of other maintenance items. But they are done in the beautiful blue waters of the Bahamas in temperatures that have not moved from the 70-79 range since we got here.
The most I can say we have done or really ”worked” at is making new friends and memories. We have collected quite a few cards and there are still those that we have met and have not gotten a card. It is fun to keep in touch with them and each year look for one another. That is what makes this cruising community so much fun. We have made some pretty good friends over the years and for that alone we are grateful to have this opportunity.
