We are making our trek back towards George Town but elect with the storms coming to head to Long Island to wait out the next front. We have anchored at Water Cay before but this day we are anchored next to a lovely fishing boat from Spanish Wells. The two young gentlemen that we spoke with were ever so polite. Spanish Wells is such a unique part of the Bahamas. We will miss visiting there this year but look forward to another time. The fishing boat left with their tenders in tow….we were not far behind them as we wanted to catch high tide to go back through the Comer Chanel Cut.
The water is beautiful this morning and the scenery is equally breathtaking. Our trek should get us into Thompson Bay around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. We have heard the anchorage there has been emptying out so there will be plenty of room for us.
As we enter the harbor and get our internet signal back, we receive a lot of great news from home. Our Jen and Janek closed on their first home and a dear friend moved from the Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit to a step down unit. Whew……lots to celebrate for sure. We will be burning up the internet highway tonight catching up with everyone.
With our bouncy passage and the stress of the day, the boys are doing what they do best. On days like this I tend to help their anxiety with a little calming treat that keeps them from shaking or pacing the floors. By the end of the day, either way they find themselves resting and happy to not be moving. As you can see, Jaxon (who was our most anxious) is somehow more calm than Cooper who needs to know EVERYTHING that is happening at EVERY moment. His ears nor eyes miss a thing.
