Playing in the Sand

With the call of more ”weather”, Paradigm Shift and staff elect to move a little further north up to Cambridge Cay where they have a mooring field but more than that they have some westerly protection. We picked up the anchor and motored about 8 miles where we would meander back into the Exuma Land and Sea Park. We have always liked this area as it is central to a couple of really nice snorkeling areas and beaches.

We are glad to see the boys enjoy the sand and the surf. Poor Jaxon cannot catch a break from the little brother Cooper. Cooper leaps into the air and pounces on him like Tigger the Tiger. We enjoy this time because it helps them to exercise and get good and tired for the evening. Running around the deck of the boat is great but nothing beats a full out run and crash on the beach.

They are still trying to figure out who is in charge, and it is quite certain, we are NOT!

Our next couple of days would be spent on the beaches and meeting up with our friends from Staniel Cay by way of dinghy to do a little snorkeling. Greg and I were a little early so we went to the infamous island owned by Johnny Depp and saw the plane on the beach. We then went to another beach and I have to say that mother nature is amazing. The years of erosion on the beach marked by the levels of the rock is just beautiful. The waters are crystal clear and the beaches are so inviting.

We went to the Rocky Dundas for snorkeling in the caves and to Rachels Bubble Bath near Compass Cay Marina. It was fun to catch up with Ryan, Rene, Greg, Kelly and Christine. The Bubble Bath was not quite as active as the wind and the waves were not very strong today but you would see an occasional burst.
