We hoisted the anchor aboard at 0700 hours and were well on our way to Bimini. There were a host of boats converging all about the same time out of Miami or No Name Harbor. Catamarans, monohulls, and yes motor vessels such as Paradigm Shift. There were a couple of Kady Krogens that we entered into the channel with and actually our friend Paul Jones will get a kick out of this……the one Krogen called Greg to see if he would “go first”. LOL. Reminded us of Joes Sound! Gotta love it ….. as usual, Greg is not going to back away from the challenge and Paradigm Shift was ready to take it on.
The Gulf Stream was a bit uncomfortable but when we finally were out of it you could tell by the motion of the waves. It seemed that the waves would come one way and then all of a sudden you would get one out of a totally different direction that just made for an hour or two of unpleasantness.
It was not too difficult to get excited when we saw the water change color. Oh that blue! There is nothing like it and the effect it has on your soul. It is like the “calm” after the rough waters inviting you to take a rest.
Our next challenge would be the entrance which when we entered was at low tide. Well we dredged it a bit for them as we more than lightly bumped, but once in our slip and tied up all is well. At least all was well until we went to check in. Seems there are two Paradigm Shifts……one was to check in at Great Harbor and we of course Bimini. They gave us the wrong paperwork and we had to go back to get it all cleared up. Oh well, as they say…..”relax Mon…..you are in the Bahamas!”
Sounds right! Enjoy!
Have fun Greg , great pictures thanks for sharing !
You are not missing anything back here, rain and snow all day!
