We are on our way! Well we will leave Tavernier tomorrow morning and then cross to Bimini on Saturday. After another grueling wait outside the “walk in” clinic and then the swab test of the sinus cavity, we are cleared to go. Once we had our results all we needed to do was upload them and get our Bahamas Travel Health Visa. I cannot tell you how simple the process is/was once we had the negative test results.
Pacing around at a health clinic is not a bad gig if you could in fact visit the store right next to it…..but NOOOO! LOL……I have enjoyed watching the many folks stop in there post visit to reward themselves .
Next we will stop and pick up those last minute items and then head to the boat and start preparing. A pump out has been ordered and the flag pole for the bow installed so we can fly our quarantine flag.
This is all so exciting. We did not get to the Bahamas last year and have really been looking forward to this trip. I hope that we get to enjoy some of our favorite spots and we hope you will follow along.
Many many thanks to our hosts, Ed and Mari-Etta. We could not have done this without their help…..the use of a car and their willingness to help any way they could has been phenomenal. We will miss Heart Harbor but will always consider this a home away from home.
