Waiting and Watching

Good Sunday morning.  Anyone that knows Greg at all will know that today is football Sunday and when we can we try to catch the game at a pub if we cannot get it on our television.  Fort Pierce is the perfect location with several sports bars within walking distance.  So today we will wait one more day for departure as we watch the Eagles.

John and Joanne from No Limits are anchored beside, behind or in front of us (depending on wind and current).  We have been into town with them and Richard from Un-Tethered.  We went to the First Friday Festival complete with food vendors, other vendors and live music.  They work things on a “token” basis and purchasing tokens was a bit challenging but after a bit we seemed to get the staff trained.  LOL. Unfortunately they had not done the token system before and seems everyone was “learning”.  We all went to town for dinner and enjoyed a “less” loud venue (if there is such a thing on First Friday Festival night).

With fun there is always SOMETHING that goes awry it seems.  For us it is the kitchen water faucet.  We have a leak under the sink that seems to be coming from the faucet.  On a walk about town with John and Joanne, I would keep my eyes open for a new one in case the captain gives the order.

Saturday would bring the Farmers Market which is something I truly love with all the vendors and the bands, organic greens, fresh fish, meats, and yes bakery items.  The crowd is twice that of the First Friday Festival and the vendors three fold.  It is a bit overwhelming but to score some fresh arugula, spinach, radishes, cucumbers and a “treat” was well worth the trip and chaos.  Actually it is very well organized and it is held EVERY Saturday rain or shine 8am – 1pm.  What a great thing!

Greg and Richard grabbed an Uber and went to the boaters “consignment” shop while I took the boys back to the boat along with John and JoAnne.  Later I would go pick Greg up from Richards boat and then we would head back to Little Jims for an afternoon snack before calling it a day.

Monday we will leave for Lake Worth if the weather holds up.
